Arc Flash Hazards and Arc Rated Clothing
Arc Flash Hazards and Arc Rated Clothing covers the confusing and complex requirements electric utilities face when dealing with the latest NESC®, OSHA, and NFPA requirements to perform an arc hazard analysis and provide proper arc rated clothing for the safety of utility workers. The seminar addresses Arc Flash calculations for various electric utility applications, including substation work and switching, transmission and distribution work and switching, and low voltage (secondary) work. The presentation contains examples and practical applications to aid the understanding of the new requirements.
The class is intended for utility managers, operations mangers, engineering managers, engineers, power line workers, safety & training professionals, consultants, and designers. Prior working knowledge of the NESC® is not required.
The presentation will last 60-70 minutes with the remaining time used for class discussion and answering questions from the attendees.
