SPIDA®Calc features the latest software technology with a powerful finite-element-analysis engine and a unique, easy-to-use, easy to understand, interface that is suited for traditional PCs, laptops, and tablets. The flexibility of SPIDACalc software allows it to be used in multiple ways. It can be used to screen a large volume of poles quickly, or it can be used to perform in-depth, detailed forensic analysis on individual structures.

SPIDACalc incorporates the selected code criteria of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), Canada’s CSA Standards, and California’s General Order 95 (GO95). Models can be run under multiple loading scenarios simultaneously, such as extreme ice or wind to help identify potential system weaknesses and offer assistance when evaluating construction options. SPIDACalc looks at the entire structure – the pole, guys, anchors, crossarms, and insulators – then displays the results graphically. Project information can be easily communicated using the wide portfolio of reports or exported with one of several included data export options.

Users can quickly assemble a pole model using the sleek and simple Framing Wizard or duplicate an existing pole from a digital photo with a Digital Photo Measuring Tool.
